This clip is Dave Chappelle post The Chappelle show. The cause of Chappelle's departure from hollywood at the height of his success, and what many people failed to realize during his peak in television comedy, was that the jokes were meant to illuminate a bigger truth-not reiterate a series of unfortunate patterns in American society.
Thought this was interesting food for thought, albeit a little outdated-it still rings true.
"The method behind the madness" comes to mind.
