SOLANGE KNOWLES
On the notion of "good hair":
"My mom owned a hair salon for twenty-five years, and I have seen every texture, every color, every length and I was always taught from a young age that good hair is healthy hair...When I cut my hair off, I felt liberated. I felt like the time, energy and money that I was putting into maintaining, everyday could go to maintaining mysely, my emotional and mental growth. I'm doing my album, I don't have a nanny. I'm taking my son to school, making breakfast. Where does hair fit into this? I could be having more time in the studio."
People scrutinized Solange so much for her hairstyle change but she's made quite a point that it's truly not about physicality at the end of the day. With her new look and Chris Rock's Good Hair out in theaters, I'm happy this conversation is finally happening among women of color.
Well said.

Interesting Im definitely gonna check that out and provide some feedback. I believe like most things anything worked on intensely, is possible
